Crash involving pedestrian closes US 401 in Garner

All lanes of U.S. Highway 401 were closed Friday morning in Garner after a crash involving a pedestrian, officials said.

The road was closed near Mechanical Boulevard, according to police, which is near where the highway merges with U.S. Highway 70.

WRAL News crews on the scene said a body in the road was covered by a sheet.
