South Garner looking for input on mascot

South Garner High School will open as Wake County's newest public high school in the fall and the school is looking for your input when it comes to its mascot.

An online poll has been setup for people to vote on five different options.

The options for the South Garner mascot include Aggies, Gators, Grizzlies, Raiders and Titans.

South Garner is currently serving as the temporary home to Garner High School while the Garner building is rebuilt. Garner has been in the South Garner building since the fall of 2016.

South Garner will join the South Wake Athletic 4-A Conference this fall, along with Apex, Apex Friendship, Fuquay-Varina, Garner, Holly Springs and Middle Creek. The school is expected to field varsity teams in most sports except football, where the school will only have a junior varsity team for the first year since it will only have freshmen and sophomores.
